On Saturday 25th April 2009, Action Recruitment and friends climbed Diamond Mountain in the Connemara National Park in aid of The Catering Trust and The Ethiopian Centre for Independant Living. The weekend was a great success and we had excellent hospitality laid on by Ronnie Counihan and his staff at Renvyle House Hotel. In total €11,000 was raised for the two charities and we would like to express our thanks to all who supported us.

Action Recruitment now on LinkedIn
01 April 2009
Article printed in March 09's edition of Hotel & Catering Review

It all began on 22nd July 2006, when Brian Fahy, Pat McCann, Douglas Jordan, Paul O Toole, Con Moriarty and Conor O Connell decided to climb Car-rauntuohill to raise funds for SOFT, and in the memory of their friend Gerry O Connor, and 4 years on the memory remains strong.
On the 25th and 26th of April 2009, a group of professionals from the Hotel and Catering Industry and friends of Action Recruitment will climb the mountains of Connemara to raise funds for 2 charities:
1. The Ethiopian Centre for Independent Living is a grassroots organisation of disabled people whose mission is to improve the lives of disabled people in Ethiopia.
2. The Catering Trust aims to assist the necessitous in the Hotel and Catering Industry and is operated through the IHI.
These are two very worthy causes and we would really appreciate your support in helping us to raise funds for these charities. The funding will be divided evenly between the two charities and you can donate directly by clicking on
http://www.mycharity.ie/charity_fundraiser_list.php?charityID=245
You can be assured that your transaction is very secure on the site and any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated.
